Novemburger fundraiser adds root beer pairing in Thunder Bay
United Way of Thunder Bay kicks off its sixth Novemburger campaign November 1 with 35 plus local restaurants. Sleeping Giant Brewing Co partners to offer non alcoholic root beer. 25 cents per can and $2 per burger sold support local food security programs. Last year over 22 000 burgers across 28 restaurants raised more than $65 000. Nine other United Ways in Canada adopt the idea with 140 restaurants and 60 ambassadors across cities.
