Parade of Lights marks 25th year in Thunder Bay
The 25th annual Thunder Bay Police Association Parade of Lights is set for December 7 at 7 p.m. starting at Manitoulin Transport on Main Street. Retired officer Greg Stephenson notes the parade’s growth since 2003 and highlights last year’s turnout of 100 plus trucks and more than forty four thousand dollars raised for Autism Ontario, the George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation, Special Olympics Ontario Thunder Bay, and the Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association. Donations will support the four local charities with marshals named from each group and the route tracing through Manitoulin Transport, Main Street, the Harbour Expressway, Memorial Avenue, Queen Street, Fort William Road, to Water Street.
