City seeks input on encampment sites for homelessness

Ignace approves signing of hosting agreement with nuclear waste group

Ignace council unanimously passed a resolution allowing Mayor Kim Baigrie to sign a hosting agreement with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. The deal sets a legal framework for moving toward a willingness vote on hosting a deep geological repository near Ignace, with community engagement planned and a decision expected by mid summer.
