Thunder Bay MRI upgrade gives scanner new life at half cost
Diagnostic Imaging at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre upgrades a 1.5T MRI by replacing hardware and software while keeping the magnet. The upgrade promises sharper images, faster scans, and reduced downtime, funded by donations and Thunder Bay 50/50 tickets, extending the unit’s life by about ten years for Northwestern Ontario patients.

After 25 years the Bachelor Auction ends with 77,003 raised for the Northern Cancer Fund for Breast Cancer in Northwestern Ontario. The Foundation launches Chase the Case a game show style fundraiser at the Valhalla Inn on May 30 hosted by Spencer Hart with Kevin Cernjul as auctioneer.
