Officers cleared in violent arrest in Thunder Bay
The province’s Special Investigations Unit cleared Thunder Bay Police Service officers of criminal wrongdoing after a 27 year old man was injured in an arrest on February 1. Officers encountered him for trespassing, a struggle followed, and punches were thrown. A Taser was used five times in stun mode as the suspect resisted. The sergeant arrived and helped restrain the suspect for handcuffing.
