Wells to be tapped again in Thunder Bay groundwater study
A provincial geochemistry project, started in southern Ontario in 2007, will return next spring for another sampling season in the Thunder Bay area. About 100 wells were sampled this year near Kakabeka Falls and Trout Bay to analyze elements like hydrogen, sulfur, carbon and nitrogen. Participants receive a free $1,500 analysis report and data will feed a provincial groundwater database for researchers and property owners planning treatment before drilling. Free community cleanup trailer debuts in Thunder Bay
The city launched a free community cleanup trailer with brooms bags and equipment to aid litter removal in outdoor areas.
