Abattoir future remains uncertain in Murillo
After nearly 40 years Mu rillo’s Vellinga family runs a 2.25 million dollar abattoir on 103 acres with a 6200 square foot plant. With no buyer yet, farmers fear higher costs as Clover belt’s Cloverbelt plant already relies on non profit leadership. The ministry plans a Friday response on provincial steps if the Murillo site closes.
