New York Sues SiriusXM Over Cancelation Practices
New York Attorney General Letitia James filed suit against SiriusXM alleging customers face lengthy automated hold times and obstructive pathways before cancellation. The state cites affidavits showing average 11.5 minutes by phone and 30 minutes online, with 578000 subscribers abandoning calls 2019 to 2021. SiriusXM disputes claims, citing online cancellation and pandemic-related delays.
