One Dead In Crash West Of Dryden Highway 17
A passenger car driver died at the scene in a Thursday morning crash west of Dryden on Highway 17 involving a commercial vehicle. OPP North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Collision Reconstructionists assist the ongoing investigation. The highway remains closed from Leach Road to Vermilion Bay.

Hymers Fall Fair returns with bands and animal shows

Canada EV savings need to rise to meet 2030 targets
The parliamentary budget office finds long term EV ownership costs in Canada are still higher upfront and savings must grow about 31 percent to reach the 2030 goals. It notes 2023 EV share reached 10.8 percent, with only two Canadian models under 45,000 dollars, and plug-in hybrids accounted for 3 percent of sales.
