Nipigon seeks new site for Park Canada centre project
Parks Canada halted the 37 million administration and visitor centre in Nipigon after archeological finds halted work and Indigenous remains were uncovered. A new site is being sought, delaying the centre by at least a year as Nipigon officials identify township properties for a future location.

Fishing festival lures Nipigon participants this year
Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival schedules a single day event on Saturday starting at 6 a.m. Weigh-in runs 2 to 4 30 p.m. at the beer gardens tent.
