Truth and reconciliation program HIP advances Indigenous youth work
Honoring Indigenous Peoples initiatives HIP led by Toronto Rotary clubs grows a Youth to Youth gathering with 50 youths from across Canada. Port Arthur Rotary helps select Y2Y candidates and distribute equipment to Northwestern Ontario First Nations, while HIP staff tour partner communities and mentor youths through immersive learning on Indigenous history treaties and environmental stewardship. The program funds backpacks and refurbished laptops for Indigenous youths and urges returning participants to share experiences locally to spread awareness nationwide.
