Hydro One customers in Shebandowan report repeated outages blamed on aging lines. Residents describe four day outages and voltage drops affecting essential services and safety, while Hydro One says it is adding voltage regulators and a battery system to support the line.

One person died and another sustained life threatening injuries after a vehicle struck two pedestrians near Cumberland and Wolseley streets in Thunder Bay around 10 30 p m on Monday. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating as police investigate. Witnesses and dash cam footage are sought by the Thunder Bay Police Service.
Four seniors centres in Thunder Bay and Kakabeka Falls share about $925,000 in provincial funds. MPP Kevin Holland announced support for continued or expanded services, with Kakabeka Falls Rural 60 Plus Centre and three others each receiving roughly $50,000 to $51,000. Local mayor Lucy Kloosterhuis praised the Kakabeka Falls centre for keeping seniors active and engaged.
The City of Thunder Bay will enforce expanded paid parking hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and introduce paid parking at Marina Park. Warnings shift to tickets for violations, with temporary two hour free meters in the North Core during streetscape work at Court Red River Park and surrounding streets, clearly marked meters and online details at thunderbay.ca/parking.
