Day parole revoked for Bushby in Thunder Bay case
The Parole Board of Canada revoked Brayden Bushbys day parole after violations including a breathalyzer failure, leaving the scene of a collision and suspected vehicle theft. At 25, he was serving an eight year manslaughter sentence for the 2017 killing of Barbara Kentner in Thunder Bay, after hurling a trailer hitch from a moving vehicle. He must now satisfy initial release conditions with added scrutiny, including abstaining from alcohol and reporting intimate relationships. Kentner, 34, died months after the 2017 attack that sparked national headlines.
