Fire destroys Nolalu home with cat missing
A Nolalu bungalow was destroyed by a fire reported about 1 p.m. on Thursday. About 15 firefighters controlled the Highway 588 blaze in 15 minutes, but the fully engulfed home was a total loss. The homeowners were away. a pet cat is believed dead. Cause undetermined, possible mud room origin.

Witness testifies in north Thunder Bay murder trial

Jacob Green testified on day three of Telique Ricketts’s second degree murder trial, stating he did not see the shot and denied his friend fired the gun.
