London Police Offices Bill Amended In Committee Debate
On third reading the bill was recommitted to amend it. A clause to prohibit bear baiting and cock fighting within five miles of noon was moved. Mr. Lamb argued such amusements attract vice and low-character crowds. The committee split 24 to 16 in favor of the amendment, majority eight. The amendments and bill passed in third reading and the session adjourned at three.
