A Dunnville crew on the Banford road farm pressed 4744 tons of hay in ten hours marking a record day. Meanwhile Company D and the 104 Regiment Band head to New Westminster Saturday for the Duke of Connaught reception with the Boy Scouts to attend.
The 1912 World Lacrosse Championship will be decided at the Provincial Exhibition in New Westminster on October 1 and 2. The New Westminster team, champions of the B C Lacrosse Association, face the Cornwall Club, champions of the N L A, for the Minto Cup and world title.
Chilliwack Dramatic Society presents Facing the Music to a good crowd on Wednesday. The amateur company earns praise for polished performances and entertaining farce about two printing families in one apartment building. A larger audience is expected Thursday and Friday evenings. Telegram notices require cash with authorizations.
Fraser Valley fairs begin last week at Central Park and Agassiz offering agricultural instruction and entertainment. By Sept 20 to 21, fairs in Chilliwack, Delta, and Aldergrove join larger exhibitions, culminating Oct 1–5 at New Westminster provincial fair.
