2008 Coal Forum to Benefit All Readers
Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge host their fourth annual coal forum with the theme Coal on the Move. The event, alternating between communities, has shifted from a spark to gauge interest to an information sharing platform for industry and locals. Mayors and officials note recent industry moves strengthen the region, including office openings by First Coal and Western Canadian Coal and Willow Creek Mine reopening near Chetwynd.
