Canadian Mosaic project aims to photograph 54,000 Canadians
Photographer Van Horn has traveled coast to coast since 2008, visiting over 750 towns and aiming to photograph 150 percent of Canada’s population for a 2017 project. He funds the effort himself, sponsors donate by kilometre, and a 40 foot travelling pavilion and book are planned to showcase all 54,000 portraits. He emphasizes faces over words, uniting people across languages.
