Regional District Opposes Bear Hunting Ban
The Peace River Regional District board opposes the WCWC and Bear Watch push for a province wide bear hunting ban. A referendum petition to force a provincial vote requires signatures from 10 percent of voters in all 75 ridings. The district fears bans would hinder bear management while urging people not to sign.
