New driver licence tech debuts in Chetwynd province wide rollout
Chetwynd hosts one of the first British Columbia sites to use a digital camera system to speed licence issuance and curb fraud. The DSCS linked setup records photos, signatures, and data, sending them to Victoria for final processing. The shift cuts wait times from eight to ten weeks to one or two, with full province wide deployment planned over five years.
