Laughter shown to ease pain in British study
A British study finds genuine shared laughter raises pain tolerance by about 10 percent. Lab tests with comedy clips, Edinburgh Fringe tasks, and a standing exercise show unforced laughter with others triggers endorphin release, unlike non humorous or dramatic viewing. The results appear in Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
