To the Editor the Pyramid is a scam and the Echo should have discussed the matter with us first. Sergeant John Scott of the Chetwynd RCMP Detachment warns the public against Future Strategies Pentagono a scheme illegal in Canada and other countries. He notes buyers pay 180 for three certificates with 60 to Italy and two thirds redistributed to earlier investors. The scheme lacks a real product or service and poses two year jail risk. Spending locally is urged over aiding such illegal activity.
The Chetwynd Echo disclaims membership in the David Black group of weekly papers in British Columbia. It notes its linkage to the Sterling Newspaper Group and Hollinger Inc. and states Conrad Black is not related or connected to David Black.
