Storefront Education Program Aims To Help At Risk Youth
Oscar Correa reports a new district plan to create a Storefront Educational Facility for youths 20 and under who can return to school. It will offer tailored programs and formal but informal activities, with an Outreach Counsellor to build trust, attend court, and be a surrogate parent figure. The Dawson Creek model inspires the effort, aiming for an October start but awaiting downtown space.
