Ambitious April aims at Chetwynd Medical Clinic opening
A new Chetwynd medical clinic and community wellness centre faces a tight schedule with a target to enclose the building by November and finish internal work so doctors can move in by April 2015. District officials credit creative planning and partnerships with Northern Health and local groups for driving the project, which has full support from Mayor Merlin Nichols and council. The Northern Development Initiative Trust has pledged 250000 and West Fraser plans to donate lumber and plywood worth about 50000 to aid recruitment and retention of physicians.
