Westcoast Energy to merge with Coastal Corp units
Westcoast Energy and The Coastal Corporation merge Calgary based Westcoast Gas with Coastal’s Texas operations to form North America's fourth largest marketer of natural gas. The new firm, named soon, will employ 340 people and report over 3 billion dollars in annual gross sales. No job losses are planned as the merger centers on marketing not production.
