BC to mark horns of legally taken mountain sheep
The Honorable Stephen Rogers announced British Columbia will join an international program to permanently mark horns of legally taken mountain sheep. A provincial regulation requires one horn to bear a small metal disc, displayed during compulsory inspection by Fish and Wildlife officials. Horns taken before 1981 must be marked to be exported. The system aims to curb illegal horn sales.
