Saulteau youth group builds first outdoor skating rink
The Saulteau Indian band youth group sponsored a barn dance raising funds for an outdoor skating rink project proposed by the Challenge 85 summer team. Volunteers aim to finish before November with raffles bake sales and dances, hoping to inspire future community projects and perhaps a local hockey team to challenge nearby White River teams. Art Napoleon notes the initiative as a precedent for youth led recreation.
