Grand Opening of Bullmoose Marshes Trails
The Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society opened Bullmoose Marshes Hiking Trails and Wetland Interpretive Area near Tumbler Ridge off Highway 29. About 100 people attended as Acting Mayor Doreen Younge cut the ribbon. Bittern Trail and Sora Trail opened with end viewing platforms and brochures noting 75 recorded bird species. Partners include Ducks Unlimited Canada and local groups. future plans add disabled access, a detailed booklet, nesting enhancements, and more trails as the society expands in 2004 and beyond.
