Albert Flett turns 99 in Chetwynd celebration
Albert Flett, Chetwynd’s oldest resident and war hero, turned 99 at a hospital birthday gathering. Born around August 31 1914, he recalled rodeo days and wild horse races, with family of nine siblings. His wife Pauline died in 2011. He offered no clear birth year answer, then blew out his cake candles with daughter Elizabeth watching.
