Shell Canada outlines Groundbirch gas plans to district directors
A Shell Canada representative told Peace River Regional District directors in Fort St. John that Shell's Groundbirch work focuses on the Montney unconventional gas play. The company holds about 300 land sections, has drilled 150 wells on 40 pads, runs five plants producing 110 mmcf daily, and plans 60 more wells this year with an expanded Montney plant due by November.
