Community News Heavy duty operators graduate with hands-on experience
Six First Nations students completed the Heavy Equipment Operator program at Northern Lights College Chetwynd Campus, funded by EnCana and the Ministry of Energy and Mines. The six-week course combined classroom training in H2S Alive and safety certifications with hands-on work on dozers and rock trucks, overcoming rainy conditions with strong instruction from Gary Noddin and daily support from Duz Cho Construction crews. Two graduates have already secured work with EnCana in heavy equipment roles.
