Fireman's Ball a huge success in Tumbler Ridge
On October 18 1985 the Tumbler Ridge Volunteer Fire Department set up in front of the liquor store and Dixie Lee as preparations began for the 3rd Annual Fireman Ball to be held October 19 at the Community Centre. About 200 attendees enjoyed a roast beef and turkey dinner, with praise for the firemen’s year of work and gratitude to contributors. Proceeds benefit Muscular Dystrophy and nearly four thousand dollars was raised this year.
