Barrier decision on Route 29 intersection analysis
A seven year accident review at the Route 29 Route 97 junction shows a notable drop in crashes after barrier installation in 1980 and further reduction after adding signals in 1983. Traffic counts in 1985 indicate removal would create unsafe conflicts at the frontage roads, especially on the 50th Street leg, with recommendation to develop alternate routes and funding under Revenue Sharing. Minister Alex V. Fraser signs off.
