Chetwynd Safe Ride Home Program Aids Youth Lifeline
Janet Wark started the volunteer driven program after youth deaths in Chetwynd and Fort Nelson. The service offers free rides home for intoxicated youths not as a taxi, requiring call in to 250-TRI SAFE and verification on arrival. Volunteers ride in pairs to ensure safety and efficiency, with Friday and Saturday nights prioritized and an appeal for more volunteers.
