Vander Zalm Visit Delights Chetwynd Audience

Mr and Mrs Vander Zalm visited Chetwynd drawing about 170 residents to Elks Hall on a Thursday. Premier Vanderzalm arrived after delays and greeted attendees, with Lillian Vanderzalm praised. The speech touched on the Forestry IWA dispute as a matter of principle.

Chamber hosts business opportunities seminar in Chetwynd

The Chamber of Commerce hosts a Business Opportunities seminar in Chetwynd on October 24 with speakers from BCDCC, Ministry of Economic Development, Peace Liard Ventures, Ministry of Forests and Lands and the FBD B. The program includes a 9:30 to 10:00 speaker tour with the mayor, a registration and coffee break upstairs at Recreation Centre and a 10:15 introduction and opening remarks before continuing on page 18.
