Salute to Chetwynd Volunteer Fire Department
The Chetwynd Volunteer Fire Department began in 1957 and became active in 1958 with six men under Fire Chief Norm Stirling. Now over 25 volunteers led by Leo Sabulsky, the department uses scanners and cell phones, operates a siren system history, and runs annual events like Fireman's Ball MD Boot Drive Fire Prevention Week and summer picnics.
