Northern Tax Allowance Earns Chetwynd Council Review
At the District of Chetwynd meeting a letter from the Peace River Regional District discusses the Northern Tax Allowance. The regional board has repeatedly addressed the allowance and, at its August 25 1988 meeting, voted to keep the Peace River area as a prescribed area for 1988 for receiving the northern tax allowance. The district covers seven municipalities and about 640000 square miles of rural settlement in Northeastern British Columbia and plans to appear before the Task Force.
