Suverus Place is a 12 unit seniors housing facility with four assisted living and eight supportive units. Built from modular housing used for Vancouver 2010 Olympics athletes, the design features a communal dining room, entertainment area, and outdoor patio. Northern Health contracts the four assisted living units and will decide admissions and services.
Elenore Wilfur of the Senior Citizens Housing Society says four subsidized and eight market units in Suverus Place offer assisted living with meals housekeeping and Lifeline. Rent for eight units is 1400 monthly, including utilities, with options for SAFER subsidies. District officials praise community partners for keeping rents low and mortgage-free status.
