Plan to run North Peace airport with Vancouver Airport

Hudson's Hope residents learn of a plan to keep Fort St. John airport open after federal involvement ends. Vancouver International Airport would operate the North Peace facility under a lease while the city commission retains ownership and seeks profit without taxpayer funding. The plan envisions cost control, service reviews, and potential user charges if needed, with a 2000 subsidy end and a modest passenger growth forecast.
