Winter Driving Preparedness and Safety Precautions
Emergency Preparedness Canada urges caution for winter automobile travel with tips to join the Canadian Automobile Association, consider a Citizen's Band radio, and heed warnings from Atmospheric Environment Service. It lists blizzards heavy snow and freezing rain hazards with wind chill notes and a detailed pre winter checklist and travel kit. It advises driving to conditions, staying in the car if trapped, maintaining fuel and visibility, and dressing in layers including a hat to prevent heat loss.
