Library draws newcomers with stories of people moving in
The Chetwynd library notes a wave of new residents arriving for work and shared experiences of adapting to town life. Many are couples whose spouses relocated for jobs, while others faced long moves and challenging adjustments. The piece highlights the library as a warm haven for lonely workers and a hub to connect with activities and people. It also recommends two books, The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman and The Corn Maiden and Other Nightmares by Joyce Carol Oates, inviting readers to check them out.
