Northern Medical Program hopes to keep doctors in the area
UNBC officials visited Chetwynd to discuss the Northern Medical Program a collaboration with UBC and UVic. They urged local physician input and outlined funding via the Northern Medical Programs Trust while the town Council pledged no tax money but offered to raise funds and set up a donation account. The program will take 24 students in Fall 2004 with studies in Vancouver and UNBC and practical training in Prince George.
