Atoms Winter Hawks Open Season With Tough Weekend
The Chetwynd Atoms Winter Hawks hosted Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek on November 8 and 9 in their first weekend as a team. Grand Prairie led 7-4 and Dawson Creek 6-0 by mid second period as the Hawks, fielding two lines, faced stronger opponents. Dallas Garbutt guarded the crease while Tyler Norris tallied a hat trick and Bowen Ethier scored a top‑corner goal. Head coach Ray Drover noted faster play and tougher competition as the team learns with each game.
