Tie a yellow ribbon campaign in Chetwynd grows
Yellow ribbons decorate boulevard trees and store fronts in Chetwynd as part of a Support Our Troops drive led by Nola Hill of Dryden Ontario. The campaign asks residents to buy ribbons and banners at the municipal office to display in yards or homes in support of Canadian troops in Afghanistan. Hill, whose son served abroad, says the tribute honors veterans and current service members and fosters community pride.
