Former NDP frontbencher seeks jury nomination in Prince George
Lois Boone, a former B C cabinet minister and Prince George MLA from 1986 to 2001, announced she is seeking the NDP nomination for the federal byelection in Prince George Peace River. She cites the harmonized sales tax as a trigger and faults Prime Minister Harper and Premier Campbell for the tax shift. Boone, 63, remains active in local politics as vice chair of the Prince George school board. She described Harper and Campbell as aligned on the HST issue.
