Food Bank seeks relocation for heated space

The IWA Food Bank needs a new building as current premises are unheated and foodstuffs risk freezing in colder weather. A few possibilities are under review with a decision expected in a couple of days. Donations remain steady and appreciated. the bank can handle extra meat from butcherings or hunts and has a freezer. East Pine elk shot near East Pine Bridge on 1A Station Road

An afternoon October 28 spike bull elk was killed near the East Pine Bridge on the north side of the highway 1A Station Road. Spike elk are not legal and no elk season exists except under limited permit, now closed. The carcass will be donated to the needy through proper channels. Call 788-3611 for help. authorities seek the rider who gave the hunter a ride.
