Dehua Signs MOU With McLeod Lake Band Over Coal Project
Dehua International Mines Group and McLeod Lake Indian Band signed a memorandum of understanding outlining collaboration on environmental protection and future mining on the band's traditional territory. Weightman said the Murray River project near Tumbler Ridge could produce over 10 million tons annually, with phase one drilling completed and a feasibility study due by May. Bull Moose remains in licensing, with two current projects framed for community benefits and jobs.
