Voters question candidates at Chetwynd forum gaps noted
At a Chetwynd public forum in Peace River South half the candidates attended. Not present were Green Party’s Shane Hartnell and Progressive Democratic Alliance’s Wade Allan while incumbent MLA Jack Weisgerber campaigned on Vancouver Island. Richard Neufeld stood in for Weisgerber and urged focus on campaign time outside the riding. The session highlighted concerns over BC Rail privatization and forest policy. All candidates voiced varying stances on a proposed woodwaste to ethanol plant in the area.
