Chetwynd hosts free brain health workshop May 29

The Alzheimer Society of B C offers Heads Up An Introduction to Brain Health in Chetwynd on Friday May 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chetwynd and District Rec Centre Aspen Room. Pre registration is required. The session covers setting goals to improve mind body and spirit and is funded by multiple foundations and donors.

Morrison charged after Calgary crash injures speed skater

Calgary police charged Olympic medallist Denny Morrison with failing to yield to a yellow light after a May 7 motorcycle crash in northwest Calgary that left him with a fractured femur. Morrison, 29, underwent surgery to insert a rod. two passengers in the other car were not hospitalized. The Crown will pursue a $155 fine.
