EnCana split unlikely to affect local workers
EnCana plans to divide into OilCo and GasCo to sharpen focus and boost efficiency. In Peace Country, about 350 employees and contractors work in the region with a $600 million 2024-25 spend for Cutbank Ridge. Company notes operations will continue as usual. oil unit may take a new name while gas unit keeps the EnCana brand.
